Soy un artista autodidacta que vive en España. Con una formación y experiencia completamente diferente a la artística, comencé mi viaje en el mundo del arte cuando tenía alrededor de 50 años, en busca de una forma de evasión y expresión personal.
Tras horas de ensayo-error y un tremendo esfuerzo, poco a poco la pintura me ha llevado a un mundo fantástico en el que puedo ser completamente libre y explorar mi interior.
Mi sesión diaria debe tener tres ingredientes principales: la propia pintura, buena música y una taza de café. Es cierto que mis mis cuadros reflejan toda mi vida, intentando plasmar en el lienzo las emociones que me produce cualquier tema.
Normalmente, trabajo con varios elementos al mismo tiempo, ya sean figuras abstractas, un paisaje o un retrato. Cuando empiezo una obra de arte, no sé realmente a dónde me va a llevar. Es el propio cuadro el que me muestra el camino que debo seguir. Según mi estado de ánimo, elijo centrarme en uno u otro.
Lo que más valoro en un cuadro es el color, y por eso mi medio principal es el óleo. Creo que es el mejor enfoque para conseguir la obra de arte más colorida e impactante y, además, para llenar este mundo de esperanza. Al fin y al cabo, mi objetivo principal es transmitir mis emociones a los espectadores.
I am a self-taught artist living in Spain. With a background and experience completely different from the artistic one, I began my artistic journey when I was around 50 years old in search of a way of escape and personal expression.
After hours of trial-and-error and a tremendous effort, little by little the painting has led me to a fantastic world in which I can be completely free and explore my inner feelings.
My daily session must have three main ingredients: the painting itself, good music and a cup of coffee. It is true that my paintings reflect my whole life, trying to capture on canvas the emotions that any subject produces in me.
Normally, I work with several elements at the same time, whether they are abstract figures, a landscape or a portrait. When I start an art work, I don’t really know where it is going to take me. It is the painting itself that shows me the path I have to follow. Depending on my mood, I choose to focus on one or another.
What I value most in a painting is colour and this is why my main medium is oil painting. I believe that it is the best approach to achieve the most colorful and impactful piece of art and, moreover, to fill this world with hope. At the end of the day, my main goal is to convey my emotions to the viewers.
